Remote Start

I have a GT 636 (I think) fitted and although it doesn't come with Remote start I reckon it'd be easy enough to work around. It is CAT 1 but no insurance company has given me money off with it so screw it..

My question to you lovely people, is that I've heard of
Remote start devices causing serious electrical problems and being more than just a pain. I know of one Nissan owner who apparently had to scrap his £17k car because the remote start killed it.

This maybe complete BS but I would like a remote start providing it doesnt kill my car.

Whats your thoughts or experiences people ?

I had remote start on my TVR...worked fine.

However, when fitted to a manual car the ofetn include a safety so you dont start it in gear...on my alarm that meant you had to tell it you would remaote start it before you left the car....pain so i turned that off and could just start and stop it from my office window!
