My 93wrx
i've got a smell of oil mostly when im driving above 4,000rpm ie when the turbo kicks in
If i drive it with no vigour theres no smell
If i rev it up at stand still past 4k no smell

theres no oil on the exhaust for definate and only a damp patch around the o/s rocker (not dripping)
I dont seem to be using any oil or very very little
any ideas wherre i can start looking or what it is

Favourite is probably small leak from front crankshaft oilseal either spraying onto front cross-pipe or running back along undertray and blowing onto exhaust pipe.

but i am sure thers is no oil leaking onto the exhaust
ive had the front covers of and the front main seal is ok as is the oil pump
