Alfa Romeo 147 1.9 JTD

Has anyone got any experience of these cars ?

Looking for one for the girlfriend and took a 53 plate out with 16000 miles on the clock. Immaculate condition with brand new wheels and tyres on.

It had the 140 BHP engine and I was very impressed with its performance. Granted, all the power came all at once, but thats turbo diesel engines for you isn't it.

Its up for £12495 but he'd take 12k for it. Does this sound reasonable ?

If theres anything else you think I should know please enlighten me :)

mmm, that price doesn't seem the best but it also depends on whether it's a 3 or 5 door and if it's got leather or any other extras????

It doesn't have leather or any other extras that I can think of...what should I be paying do you think ?

3 or 5 door?

Do a search on the Autotrader website. If you haven't got a trade in you're in a very good bargaining position.

Did you ask him why the wheels had been replaced? They've more than likely been replaced under warranty or through an insurance claim so don't pay over the odds as it's unlikely he paid for them.

Sorry, forgot to say its a 5 door.

Won't have a trade in.

I didn't think to ask why the wheels were changed until I'd left the showroom

:)

Just been to see another, this was an 04 plate, with the smaller BHP engine, with leather. Going for the same price as the 53 plate with the bigger engine. Not sure of the mileage as the dealer was shut.

Any more feedback ? :)

Anyone

Terzo

I ran a new 156 after the scoob and unfortunately all the reliability and dealer horror stories turned out to be true.

The 147 is good to drive and the diesel is superb but be prepared for the niggles and dealers who have been bottom of the JD power tables for years.

Cheers
Lee
