N B O 3 update

Incase anyone has been living on the far side of the moon the

Northern Big One 3 will be held on Sunday 12th June at Lightwater Valley near Rippon Yorkshire

This will be the third time Cumbrian and Tyne tees Scoobys have hosted the event and this year will be the best one yet !!

Again we are keeping it simple with a £5 Donation per car as you enter the field (although a lot of people donated extra last year) and all proceeds go our chosen charity Last year we raised over £3000 and hope to beat it this year !!!!

As usual there will be the famous Raffle with many top prizes donated by our exhibitors

There will be the Car of the Day competion with prizes and the trophey for the winner .

This year we will have a new
club stand of the day competion

something we tryed for the first time last year with the various club stands
from Cumbria,Tyne tees, and the LADS and the RB5 owners club and this year promises even more club displays

### please can the club organisers contact me so i can allocate the space required around the edges of the field ####

Organised Convoys are part of the NBO experience so can the various convoy leaders start to organise their own convoy threads on scoobynet

Last year Tyne tees had 105 in their convoy and the Yorkshire ,hull and south Mancs convoys were close to that number too !!

Its rumoured that Tiny from essex is fetching up every scooby from down South !!
The RS owners club is also having their RS show in the field next door to us too so something else for you to look at too.

Our suppliers on show are

AS Performance

Stan Palmers

Scooby Clinic

Grade A Breakers

Scooby world

Jap Innovations

Custom Components

A & S signs

Oakley Service Station (Evos)

Triple Six

Jennings Subaru

Revolution

and Scooby Mag

so plenty choice for you to spend your money on !!

Im also waiting confirmation of some scantily dressed modles in Subaru tight T-Shirts :D:D:D::D

The show opens at 1030 am this year to assist in the sheer amount of parking the scoobys

Last year 16 marshalls from Cumbria , TTS parked over 460 cars and i think we could of only squeezed another 30 cars in so its

VERY IMPORTANT ###########################
that you MUST REGISTER YOUR NAME ON THE NBO list ###########

as we have to have the aproximate numbers for our event insurance and also for the sheer amount of logistics needed to park the cars on the day itself

also we dont have the back up facility of the field next door due to the RS show so its vital that you register your attendance if your friends to not have internet access please can you all do it for them

Thanks

As usual at deal has been done with God himself and Sunshine has been ordered although you have to provide your own sun block .

We look forward to seeing you all again on the day

Club rules

3 or 4 maximum cars on each club display

it is restricted due to the space around the edge of the field

Club tent must be on show and i would like to see club banners to make the displays really stand out from the crowd

Photos of meets and club flyers

Flags, scooby regalia and highly polished cars roaped off from the next door stand ##

we will be giving a special award for a club stand

so give it all your best shot !!!

please contact me if you require a club stand as space is limited to aprox 8-10 club displays and they are FREE !!!!

Unlike other car shows with hugh running costs to make profits for the organisers Cumbrian and Tyne tees scoobs do it for Nothing !!!

Such is the excitement for us in getting lots of scoobys in a field and we like to raise money for charity !

The first year we raised £1400

Last year we raised a fantastic £3015

And this years target for the day is

##### £4000 ~~~~~#

This year we are splitting the proceeds between

Cancer Research

and the Stoke association

One of our members works for BA and this year they have offered to double our money raised for the Stroke association
EG we take £1000 on the day and BA will double it to £2000 !!!

This was such a fantastic gesture from BA that we could not refuse it so the money will be divided on the day .

Let us all dig deep in our pockets on the day and raise over

######### £4000 QUID ~##########

at the NBO 3

Please can you ensure if you are going to the NBO 3 that your name is on the list so we can get numbers for parking and event insurance

Thanks

Ninnybobs 24 May 2005 12:43 PM

Lord Harding,

That was an extremely generous gesture from BAE.

They have also donated a tremendous raffle prize.

Can't wait

Martin

SCOOBY TOWERS 24 May 2005 01:31 PM

Hello everyone :)
I'm the member representing BAE SYSTEMS :D

Just to clarify, BAES will match any monies raised on behalf of the Stroke Association - pound for pound.
For example if 4k is raised and is split equally between Cancer Research and the Stroke association BAES will donate a further £2k to the Stroke Association.

The raffle prize on offer is a glider flight with a RAF pilot at our Samlesbury site (Lancashire) on a date to be arranged with the winner.
There will be certain criteria around health, height, weight etc but we'll see who wins and sort details out on the day.

Dig deep on the day, as its a prize worth winning !
