misfire again
ok 6 months ago i had a missfire so i replaced the plugs (didnt solve it ) then i replaced the coilpacks and the problem went away
now the problem has come back so i replaced the spark plugs again and that didnt help i would be amazed if the coil packs have gone again i check the resistance across them all each gave a reading of 1 ohm, is this correct? could it be something like the alternator, the reading changes from 13.8 unloaded to 13.5 fully loaded and does not rise when the engine revs are increased +the belt does not slip??? btw it a 1995 sti2 im well confused as i just cant see it being the coil packs again,,,,,,,,, please help ;( |
What plug gaps?
Try around 0.6mm |
I had the same problem a little earlier in the week, not sure wtf it was though.. I am thinking that I might lower my gaps on my plugs aswell just because the standard gap is like 0.10 or something huge
What exactly does the space of the plugs do?? I mean what is the advantage of having smaller spaces? |
small space less distance for spark to travel
i had sim problem with mine changed plugs an regapped works a treat now also check if any pipes are loose in engine bay |
Right bring on the sun and I think I am going to regap because since I have changed to the platinums I have not felt 100% sure about the feel of the car.!!
