CONVERTING AUTO IMPREZA TO MANUAL?

Looking at a damaged 95 uk turbo to use the running gear for my MK1 escort project (see project section) is it alot of work changing to manual? has anyone done the conversion before that can give any pointers?
Does the engine put out the same power etc?

Surely automatics were JDM only cars?

All automatics had a 220PS engine similar to the 'Wagon; with a smaller TD04 turbo.

Assuming that youre talking about an early 'Classic', as we are, then no it didnt; sorry. It came with the complete driveline that was fitted into the automatic GF8 Impreza; complete with smaller TD04 turbo and a completely different torque curve.
