Help finding thief's vehicle S276 SLD
Can anyone help with tracing a vehicle?
My parent’s business premises were robbed the other day in the early evening. The thieves were parked up for about half an hour on a busy road in daylight loading a van climbing back and forth over the fence. Several passers by called the Police who stated they couldn’t attend as they were too busy. (Tues evening in Watford, I think not). On my parents being informed by a call from someone who knew them that they were in the process of being robbed they also called the police who said “yes we know your being robbed but cant attend, can’t you go down your self” What they thought a 72 year old man with a bad leg was going to do I don’t know, anyway by the time he had got there the thief spotted him coming and drove off down the pavement to avoid him. On calling the police to update them they denied all knowledge of it or any details of the vehicle used. The details were given to them again but all they have done is put out an alert to keep an eye out for the vehicle, they don’t even appear to have tried to trace it as yet. My parents business is between not one but 4 police stations the closest being about 5 mins max away and the farthest about 8. He even got a bollocking off the police today for wringing them up to see what they have done about it. So the question is who owns a S276 SLD last seen in the Watford/Bushey area. Found this much out, just need the rest for a visit Manufacturer Volkswagen Model CADDY DIESEL Body type car derived van Colour Blue Fuel type Heavy oil Date manufactured 31 December 1998 Number of previous owners 1 Last owner change 30 January 2002 |

Local press should have a field day with that... |
Isn't it about time we had some good old-fashioned vigilantes in this country?
I'd do it. |

The trick is to say "yep I'll deal with it, I'll just go and get my airgun" and they'll be around in no time....

A friend of mine once said to a Chief Inspector who refused to send some officers down to move some Asian lads (on the grounds of it being construed as racist) that he would "engage in a spot of Ethnic cleansing"
It took 2 minutes for two officers to turn up - one of whom was Asian... |
I used to have a mate who worked for the DVLA who could have told you the registered address, but i just found out thats he no longer works there. altho he still might know some mates who do.

time to contact the "watford observer"
i know someone who can get me HPI check, does this normally supply an address? |
Blair's Britain.

Tell the local paper and your local MP - it's election time, they'll want to be especially helpful.

Date of Last V5 Issue 11 03 2005 Last owner change 30 January 2002 Too busy to attend? That really takes the pi$$! I would write to Hertfordshire constabulary and formally complain. Contacting the Watford Observer is also a must! Despite being Labour, Claire Ward is actually pretty good as an MP for Watford so I would consider writing to her office as well. She's a damn sight better than the ar$e we have in Hemel! Best of luck mate :) |
Contact the local media, they will have a field day with this. Contact local Chief Super and also local MP, make them aware that the force is seeminly uninterested in responding to crimes. If there was a riot going on at the time then one might understand that the police force could be stretched a bit thin, but from what has been said, no explanation as to why they were busy was given.

you can apply to the DVLA i think. if you tell them the vehicle was involved in a minor accident, scratching your car, they can release the keeper's details. i believe the relevant info is on the dvla web site somewhere
|
Any hit and run must be reported to the police and they will then contact the owner/keeper. The DVLA will never give you that information AFAIK.

(no towns mentioned)
someone i knew, said his friend once saw 2 people in his garden shed stealling his tools. he called the police in which replied they were very busy and will be there in about 1-2 hours., feeling a bit pissed off, he waited a while then call back and told them to take their time, as he got his rifle (he does pigeon shooting at weekends) and shot both off them in the legs and they won't be going far for a while. within 10 minutes there were 2 cop cars and a chopper. the sick thing is that they are probably there to get HIM rather than the 2 thieves i very well known tactic is to tell the police that a very serious fight is going on, and they should be quicker |
not heard that joke for a while and the punch line is ...
after the police turn up to find no shot theives they say "you said you'd shot them" and the chap replies " and you said you had no-one available" A very old joke wwp8 but you missed the punch line! |
