Coolant contaminated???
 

I noticed recently there were some small metal flakes in the coolant tank when you take the cap off. There is also some gunk in filler tube - Looks like rad weld. IS this anything to worry about?

If so it will be back to the garage!!!

What type of gunk? Is there froth around the cap?

Is there oil in the water?

It is like a green paste. - I cleaned it out and it has not come back. There is no sign of oil in the water or vice versa. The metal bits appear to be like perfect square flakes. Does it sound like something to worry about?

A local garage said it was nothing but I wasnt convinced they knew what they were talking about.
