Hands free kit

I have a nokia hands free kit in my car, all fully wired in via stereo speakers etc,
I have just bouhgt a nokia phone to go with it and i have a problem.
When i make/receive a call there is a rythmic buzzing noise coming from the speakers as well as the caller, it is driving me crazy.

Any ideas from you electrical geniuses ou there. cheers. TONY

Tony

Check where the main nokia box is mounted that everthing plugs into. Had the same problem when I first put mine in and realised that where I had hidden it up by steering column it was picking up interference from the ignition wiring.

What car kit is it, or if your not sure what phone does it accept...? & what stereo have you got...?

If its 1 of the later Nokia's that fit the Ck-7w kit, chances are that it's the radio picking up interference directly from the phone, common problem. The only way you can get round this is to move the location where the phone cradle is mounted, the further from the radio the better. Try making a call & hold the phone(not in the cradle) near the radio & see if the interference gets worse, then try turning the radio off & see if it's still there... Let me know how you get on, & I might be able to help you cure it...

Gazza...
