Is this a good price...??

Is anyone using the T1-r Rim protection tyres...how do they look?

ozzy 22 April 2005 11:52 AM

I would say so. You could try Elite Direct - speak to Barry 01708 527 220 and say you're from the Subaru club. He should give you a good price to compare.

All toyo T1R's have rim protection. Infact just about every tyre you can buy in that size has rim protection Good Year F1's, BFGoodrich Profiler G's Bridgestone SO3's all hav it. It's pretty standard these days on alot of low profile (55 profile or below) tyres, just most people don't advertise it to much. They look spot on as the sidewall of the tyre runs flush from the tread to the lip on the wheel rim (rather than tucking in behind the rim) it also reinforces the sidewall a bit too.

I'm surprised at Elite. Barry does give good prices for Scooby owners, so maybe that's the reason. They were at least £15 per tyre cheaper than Mytyres for the ones I looked at.

e.g. Goodyear Eagle GS-D3 £120 from mytyres, but £100 from Elite.
