I think you'll have a hard time finding one to be honest!

If you were looking for a company asking for accidents in the last 3 years rather than 5 there are plenty.

I've always been told that convictons, it will be active on your license for 3 years, it can be removed after 4 years and you stop declaring them after 5 years.

What do you mean removed after 4 years? I have a DR10 from Feb 01 which will not need to be declared after Feb 06 but whats this about removed? If it means having the conviction overturned thats out becuase I was over without question.

Err, DR10's are 11 year rehab (most companies ask for convictions in last 5 or ever been banned

Generally they all ask for:

Driving convictions in last 5 years, (even though they come off your licence after 3)

Have your ever been banned - in which case they will want all the sordid details.

All to do with the rehabilitation of offenders act, that's how they can ask for 5 years.

Liverpool Victoria are not interested in convictions or bans for a single speeding offence.

Cant say I'd quote convictions after 4 years - theres no real way they can find out if you've had them removed from the license...

Ok so they say they have some UK wide database but this is more for fraudulent claims......maybe I'm wrong

thanks guys he has an IN10 ( NO INSURNACE AGAINST A THIRD PARTY ) may i please add this was not motorbike or even car related ( it was on a go-ped :( )

so anyone know when these can come of his license???

vader 22 April 2005 09:30 AM

found this on the DVLA

Periods of time are signified as follows: D=Days, M=Months, Y=Years

Endorsements remain on a counterpart licence for:

11 years from date of conviction for offences relating to drink/drugs and driving, causing death by careless driving whilst under the influence of drink/drugs and causing death by careless driving then failing to provide a specimen for analysis

4 years from date of conviction for reckless/dangerous driving and offences resulting in disqualification

4 years from the date of offence in all other cases

so it looks like his will stay on for 4 years form date of offence ( as he have disqualification, he just reverted back to his provisonal as he was still under the pulmonary '2 years' probabtion period
