party policy on transport

Paul Smith of Safe Speed has drawn together what all the parties are promising on transport:

As you can see it's not a lot. Paul believes that road safety doesn't feature at all because it is soon to be devolved to Europe. This is certainly highly likely and, as we have seen, so called "safety" measures often impact upon all areas of transport.

I think it likely that we have just had our last chance to make the right to private transport a political issue in this country and it looks like we have screwed up. Prepare to get on the bus for your future trips.

Sad to say it looks like we are about to be shafted :(

Only the Tories can save us now.

Personally I am not a torie fan, but given their policy on transport compared to the other parties, then they get my vote.
