impreza car inspection in chester

Have put a deposit on a 22b in a garage in Chester. Want to get the car inspected for damage etc. I have used RAC and green Flag before for previous inspections, but for such a unique car I'm wondering if I'm better off with a specialist local to Chester. Any suggestions?

Would be great if the car wouldn't leave the garage for the inspection as I can't see the garage being too keen seeing the car leaving the premises

maybe a subaru service tech can pm me direct for info on any dealers/techs that can have a look

Have you tried posting on 22b bbs as well mate. Might find a local expert who'll have a look for you, or at least know the whereabouts of someone who will. I had my MY99 inspected by the AA (sadly no longer available) and they conducted a very detailed inspection. I dare say the RAC would do the same.

is it Walkers??

scoobynutta555 11 April 2005 10:24 PM

yes walkers. Ive had rac and green flag before, although detailed, Id like the mechanics of the car given a knowlegable once over as well as panels etc. The big inspectors IMHO have a checklist mentality, and not being impreza specialists might over look certain things specific to imprezas.

Have tried 22b.com, but this is a much larger community so hopefully covering all bases ;)

I dont think that the RAC/AA/Greenflag inspections are comprehensive enough for specialist cars such as the 22b. They may well pickup basic things such as brakes/suspension/exhaust leaks etc but I dont they would be able to do a detailed inspection on such a car

I had a RAC inspection done on my current car and they missed quite a few major items such as the Turbo seals!!!!!

The 22b had flat tyres when I saw it in Walkers about 4 weeks ago - might have just been an interesting security measure... :D

Tax ran out dec 04. I'm assuming its been laid up due to its engine rebuild. Tyres looked nice and pumped up when I saw it, resisted kicking them ;)

Nobody has seen or heard of it before either on here or on 22b.com.

Thats an interesting thought on the matter... PMSL

If ProSport will do it... I would recommend them to do it for you. Pete and John are usually very helpful and will certainly be able to tell what it is like mechanically :thumb:
