So much time confiscating nail scissors...
...that they sort of overlooked the grenade.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4412345.stm FFS, post-2001 flying is ridiculous due to all the high-visibility security. And yet a guy gets on a BA flight to London (not some third-world airline going to a greek township), and they allow a grenade to go through. Unbelievable. |
Mr Dean also told the court the grenade could not have been used because the detonator had been removed. An expert concluded there was no risk from the explosives inside without the detonator. Rodney, you per-lonker! |
Was a woman up here this week that found a grenade on the beach so chucked it into her push chair with the kid and went down the copshop. They just about had a fit and put the grenade into a cell(minus kid) until bomb disposal came out to disarm it. In an interview the cop basically called her a dozy git:D

The scanning crew on duty at the time should be sacked.
There was some panorama type prog on a while ago, highlighted the bogus practices going on. Think it was Stanstead....

You're now allowed to take nail scissors/nail files/clippers etc on flights leaving from the UK :)
