https://news.bbc.co.uk/media/images/...8571_fight.jpg

Wonder what kind of punishment their looking at surely the police will get involved with Bowyer's past violent history.

Funkii Munkii 03 April 2005 11:54 AM

:cuckoo: Bowyer, what a total retard, this guy makes chavs look good!!

I noticed both apologised to all and sundry except for each other, although Dyer had no reason to apologise to that thick ****.

STi wanna Subaru 03 April 2005 12:52 PM

Both miss the FA Cup Semi-Final as well...... good work lads! :D

You only have to look at Bowyers history to see the guy is a moron. Hope they do him for assault and he gets to meet up with big Bubba in the showers!

FASTER MIKE!! 03 April 2005 05:24 PM

what can i say? idots but then dyer might be ok for the fa cup as he never threw a punch. are we now seeing the old bowyer come back? more agresion certenaly been playing better recently? supprised souness never dived in, seeing as he like s a good old scrap:D:D:D

richiewong 03 April 2005 06:30 PM

Gave my ticket away for this game and look what happens:rolleyes:
My mate said it was one of the funniest things he's seen in ages and the highlight of the game:mad:

WRXPete 03 April 2005 07:44 PM

As a Villa fan, and staunch hater of both Dyer and Bowyer, i had a great day!!!

Walwal 03 April 2005 08:17 PM

What a couple of tossers.

If you're going to fight, do it behind closed doors, not in front of national tv cameras.

What was a tough game in the semi final has now just got a lot tougher thanks to suspensions.

Thanks guys.

Andy.

There must be some serious problems behind the sences at Newcastle, first Bellamy getting shipped out after his public argument with Souness and now these pair of Muppets fighting in front of everyone!!
Makes you wonder what it must be like off the pitch !! :Suspiciou :Suspiciou

So much for their bonding session in Dubai the other week :lol1: :lol1:

Personaly I think they are both as bad as each other, Yes Bowyer has a past history but Dyer isn't exactly and Angel is he ?? Look at the disrespect he showed Sir Bobby Robson earlier on in the season !! Isn't it the second time the moron has had to publicly appologise to the Toon faithful ?? The only reason Dyer seems to get anyones backing is he missed with both punches he tried to swing!! I am so glad I ain't a Newcastle fan with all the crap that has surrounded the club off the pitch this season !!

What makes it worse is they are both English players too, its not as if we can blame them for being forgien.

Will be very interesting to see the outcome of this, as If it was two fans fighting they would be banned from the ground possibly even for life !!
I can't see how the club can keep them, not after getting rid of Bellamy!!

Its a pity they didn't do it before we played them in the FA cup Qtr finals up there   At least they won't play at White Hart Lane on Sunday :)
Already looking forward to giving them some stick at the game :norty: :norty:

messiah 04 April 2005 11:06 AM

Bowyer's face as he was dragged off was a picture - funniest thing I've seen in ages. :D

Ted Maul 04 April 2005 12:12 PM

I thought the fantastic theatrical collapse by that defender that got sent off for handball was the best moment. WTF was that all about!

ozzy 04 April 2005 12:28 PM

Heard on the Radio that the Government are involved with the Sports Minister stating that in every other place of work fighting would be a sackable offense

Don't see them moaning when there's punches thrown in Rugby matches. Typical knee-jerk reaction and the politicians jumping on a bandwagon.

They were both knobs although Bowyer seems to have started swinging his handbag first Big fine, some match bans should be enough to sort it all out.

Stefan

redwrx 04 April 2005 03:00 PM

Funny, i thought similar ........... fighting at your place of wirk, was a dismissal case... it certainly would be at my place of work.

or a big fine, if its financially better for you..... !!! money talks.

He should be knighted for services to Comedy! The 2nd funniest footie moment I've ever seen! Brillaint!

As for the other two

Bowyer = THUG
Dyer = Pretty boy who loves himself too much

SJ_Skyline 04 April 2005 04:54 PM

Saw a great comment on the BBC forum:

A Precedent has been set. 50,000 people paid to watch a football match and had a boxing match thrown in for free!!

Plonkers! Anybody know if the bans will be in place for Thursdays game against Sporting Lisbon?

Patt@firstime 04 April 2005 06:38 PM

6 week wages fine for Bowyer  more than I thought it would be :D

No mention of Dyers fine (if any) just that there appealing to his red card

thats because dyer was on england duty;):p:D not much bonding going on between those two

cheddar bob 04 April 2005 09:13 PM

Reason they haven't been sacked is football's not a game anymore as such but a business... even if they're only worth a few million now between them it's still money that the club would lose out on if they sacked them.

Unless you have Abramovich standing behind you then it ain't gonna happen (Mutu).

ozzy 04 April 2005 10:56 PM

I'd argue that getting paid £40K per week to run around a grass pitch for 90-minutes is hardly "working"

God knows what would happend if the PC brigade went to an Ice Hockey match. That's a boxing match with Hockey thrown in for free :)

ozzy, I hear what you are saying and I also know you are a pretty fit bloke. Most people on here would colapse after about 10 minutes on the pitch with these guys trying to keep up. I agree though £40K a week for it is a stunning amount of money and with the time these guys have most people could reach a similar level of fitness. It's about having the tallent though and that is what they ultimately get paid for.

Ooops I had forgot about Dyer being in the England squad, maybe that's what caused the fight Dyer didn't like the pressie Bowyer brought him back from Daubi :D :D

Yeah, true. But they've been running around since they were very young, so they've had no excuses not to keep fit. I still don't agree that their talent is worthy of a £40K a week wage. On their own or in training I've seen some football players that are fantastically talented, but watching some football matches makes you wonder if they turn it off. Some of the passing from so-called professionals can be shocking at times.

IMHO, a large majority are overpaid useless knobs and rather than displaying raw talent simply run around (albeit very well) ;)

1st time I've ever heard Dyer described as 'pretty boy'. Mind you, if he was ever to get sent down..........you can almost hear Bubba saying...'You're my puppy now!!!!!'

It's true though, you started a fight at work, you'd be out on your ar*e!!

and as for Bowyer's face as he was dragged away....was he being posessed by the Devil himself at the time?

:cuckoo:
