New Purple End (Non Scooby) ;)

Took the grandad-mobile for a new muffler system this fine afternoon :D
S/Steel Decat, 2.5" straight through S/steel TD304 system, Titanium backbox.
Built by MIJ Performance in Walsall, emphasis on build to increase torque.
Very professional outfit - recommended.

Thats really nice mate....

How loud is the exhaust now then??

Out of interest, how does it compare as a package to the Scoob??

Cheers,
Grant

It's fairly quiet on tickover and when cruising, just a bit of a rumble, nothing obtrusive. On full chat it is fairly loud, especially in an enclosed space, and sounds awesome (almost as good as my old Scooby, which had a handmade Sti s/steel system).

As for comparison with the Scooby. To me, no contest (flame suit on!).
Quicker, better handling (I think, it's close though), more refined, much better build quality, better looking, and i've not seen a chav in one ;)

Not to diss Scoobies though, I loved mine, and would have another - but I needed a bigger car than my wagon, and this suited what I wanted.

looks like a motorworld style CT Racing clamp on cover from sum angles

thats not a good thing IMO!

The holes in the back pipe are for the removable baffle.
I suppose it could add to the sleeper look? Grandad's estate with a bolt on big pipe? ;)

Tasberley 26 March 2005 10:31 AM

thats really nice... the wheels really suit the car!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Alright Sulli, Had my exhaust on my old car done at MIJ Performance, top bunch of lads there, Ill wait till my warrenty runs out on MY04 WRX then im off for one of there loud exhausts.

Also did you see there 900bhp Black Skyline R34 GTR. :notworthy

sulli 27 March 2005 01:48 PM

Agreed mate - top bunch there. Know their stuff, are very helpful, and sat me watching a DVD while I waited.
Yeah, I had a good look round the Skyline, and Jay told me all about it - he's taking it to the ring next month with it's new rebuilt engine - should be 915Bhp apparently!!!!!!!
