4 Wheel Laser Alignment in Harrow, Middlesex or Edgeware

Can anyone recommend where I can get this done? Am sure someone from the Middlesex crew must have had theirs checked at some point.

Might try Northway Tyres if no-one recommends anywhere else.

Cheers. :)

Thanks guys. Any idea how long it takes and rough cost? If not will give them a call tomorrow for details.

Cheers.

SlowBoy 22 March 2005 01:49 AM

They charge around £120  Takes around 2 hours.

There's a place in Park Royal that does it for around £70. Will try and get the details for you, but it could take me a couple of days.

HomerJunior 22 March 2005 08:11 AM

Would be interested to know as £50 is quite a difference.

Cheers Slowboy.

Any update slowboy?

Power Engineering are definately the best around this area for this sort of thing. My car was done there after having coilovers fitted. I was there 2 weeks ago for an engine oil, gearbox oil and rear diff oil change. They do a very good job and know exactly what they are doing when it comes to Subarus.

The cost varies depending on how much your settings are out and how long it takes them to put it right. They change in half hour segments. For 4 wheel alignment including tracking and camber adjustment i was only charged £60! The most you will get charged is £120.

I'll be there again when my new softer springs arrive from Demon Tweeks!

HomerJunior 28 March 2005 09:03 AM

I will give them a shout tomorrow. Have just bought some second hand coilovers so may get them to fit them at the same time along with my new wheels!

Cheers.

I'm getting alittle bit of tramlining under heavy breaking and have also noticed that the inside edge of the drivers side front tyre is wearing. Would i be right in assuming i need the car realigned. I'll be having ARB front and rear with drop links fitted soon, so presume it would be best to wait and have it done after these are fitted?
...and forgive my ignorance...buts whats the difference between a £25 laser realignment of the tracking at ATS and a £60 or more set up at PE?

If you're tyres are wearing unevenly then you definately need your car aligned, the best geometry set up will also give the best tyre wear. Probarbly would be best to have your ARB stuff done at the same time to.

As for a £25 laser alignment that's the cheapest i've ever seen. Even other tyre places round my way like Northways and another garage in Queensbury whose name i cant remember charge a minimum of around £50. Your price must just be for front wheel tracking, not lining them up with the rears..

pappasmurf 29 March 2005 06:44 PM

thanks moo.

Not convinced about PE. Charged £120 but didn't produce a printout of the results. When asked gave me figures which said there was more -ve on the back than the front although I admit it feels OK on the road. Feltham Tyres in Hayes quote £70 for 4 wheels (track and camber).

GaryCat 29 March 2005 09:08 PM

Yeah, Feltham Tyres are very good and have the full laser jobbie.

SlowBoy 30 March 2005 12:20 AM

Sorry Homer, will make that call tomorrow and post details.

When I went to PE they quoted either 1hr or 2hrs to do the job. I ended up getting charged 2 hours (£120). Prob the most respected outfit for this work is Power Station in Gloucestershire. For a similar price you can get them to do the geometry AND their price includes the bumpsteer mod, if I remember correctly.

I'm having coilovers put on my MY00 and will be using the guys my scoob mechanic recommends for the geometry as their price sounds good to me and they're nearby in Park Royal.

HomerJunior 30 March 2005 05:13 PM

Cheers Slowboy. Look forward to getting the info.

FELTHAM TYRES

....in Feltham, off green lane.............

fappin excellent, great service, people who knew what they were talking about and only fixed what needed fixing.
Nice waiting area, or go watch, you also get two printouts of what they addressed and how they addressed it.
I highly reccomend them

HomerJunior 31 March 2005 10:55 AM

Cheers for that. How much did they charge and how long did they take?

Mine took about 45 mins (or 8ish coffees :) )

Cost me £40:90 but there wasn't that much 'tweaking to be done'
Fronts, that was all.

But what a difference !!!!!

Also do amazing deals on Tyres

HomerJunior 31 March 2005 04:59 PM

Cheers bottomfeeder. Will have to look them up. Bit of a trek so may use the one at Park Royal but wouldn't rule them out yet!
