Clonking coming from left front when turning right?

I have a loud clonking come from the right front of my MY00 uk turbo. Its only when turning right and the more lock you put in the worse the noise.

Its sounds like it doing it twice every rotation of the wheel and increases frequency with speed.

When the car is jacked up and with full right lock it does not make the noise, I even tried jacking the the hub to simulate it being on the road but still couldnt reproduce the knocking.

I suspected the CV joint but as I said on full right lock with it jacked up it is fine which makes me think it may be diff related possibly? Obviously its quite hard to have the full drive train running with limited jackls and stand I have to hand.

Can anybody shed any light on this? I expect its gonna be a trip to the garage :(
