Running Rich ? Symptons ??
Hi Team,
I have had a classic turbo since Jan and have had no problems at all with it but my mate followed me from work and said that it seemed to possibly be running a little rich he thought it seemed to be smoking a little. I have done a search but it is difficult to refine what I am looking for. My knowledge on the mechanical side of engines is limited :iamwithst so I am just looking for some options here. I have Subaru Warrenty on it but I would like to understand a little more before I actually give them a call. Just to add I have checked the oil regular and it does not look to be burning any. If it is running rich what are the symptoms, cure etc ?? Or any other ideas ? Many Thanks Simon |
It is normal for Turbo Scoobs to run rich, its one of the ways Subaru keep the engine cool, by throwing extra fuel into the mix.
But proper overfueling could indicate a problem (maybe the lamdba sensor) and you should speak to your garage and get it checked. Dave. |
Thanks for that Dave,
It may be just the standard running of the car and I have not really noticed it before now, but I'll look into it a little more for sure. Simon :) |
