Proxy T1 tyre warning
All,
Thought i'd better post these pic's of my T1's these are about 12mths old and have done less than 6k on them. The pic's are the Drivers front and rear. If you have T1's you might just wan to check them. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/09...egaMeet037.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/09...egaMeet034.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/09...egaMeet038.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/09...egaMeet033.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/09...egaMeet032.jpg |
looks to me like it's a warning to you to get your tracking checked!
edit to add : maybe excess camber too !! As far as I can see feck all wrong with the tyres other than the fact you have scrubbed all the tread off the inside edge leading to the delamination of the casing. Andy |

As above, Your car looks like it needs a good 4 wheel alignment check,I have T1's on mine and have done 10k with even wear all the way across the tyres.

i think the fact that you have let them get that low has something to do with it,did you not get any sparks off them?

tracking may be out thats what it looks like. could have a slight camber problem there to ! 4 wheel laser alignment would be my first thing to do:)

What's wrong with those then? When i was a youf they'd have been a good set of tyre's, another 10000 mile's i reckon.:D :thumb:

i had this on my P1 after i had the 4 wheel alignment done at TSL same size 215/35/18
i had a v part the way round the wheel on the inside frounts the tyer was ok but inside was gone |
I think I'd tend to agree with most of the comments above. There doesn't appear to be much wrong with the tyres other than they're completely worn out. Since it's very much on the inside and after such a low mileage then you definitely need the 4 wheel alignment checked and set to the middle of the tolerances.
First put them on my '98, where they wore really well, compared to the Bridgestone SO2's I'd tried before. Then had them on my P1, where I always got the same 10k ish per set I got from the OEM tyres, but with better grip. Josh |
Holy Moly, Dazza01, I've had my T1Ss for 6 years/40k miles! They're worn out now (well actually the tread has a bit left in it, but the rubber isn't up to the task anymore!) but nothing like yours! And I don't drive slowly! ;) :D
I agree with the others who say alignment is the problem (I've been fastidious about mine ). |

What car are they fitted to? Mike |
