Hubs

Is it possible to replace the bolts coming out of the hub or do you need to change the whole hub?

if you mean the wheel studs they will hit out with a mallet , when fitting the new ones push them in as far as you can , fit a load of washers and tighten the nut on to them so they pull in all the way , its very easy to do

cheers mate, that is exactly what i meant. had been quoted £125 each for a sti hub from a scrapyard! Would dealers be the best place to get the wheel studs?

Well worth giving Grade A Subaru a ring.

I wouldn't try a pull the new ones through by tightening the nut - I tried that and FUBARed 2 of them before I perservered with hammering them in from behind. Very fiddley but it at least it won't knacker the thread on the stud and the nut.

Dealers do the stud & nut for a couple of quid.

cheers mate, i have a some rear hubs could i use the studs off them?

Same stud for both front and rear so no reason why not as long as you can get them off the old one without doing too much damage.
