Soap Operas, plumbing new depths

Saw 'Corrie' tonight, never usually watch it, not usually as depressing as Eastenders but still pretty bad but tonight was having my tea and some girl killed her dad, having had an abortion !!!

FFS, I think we would be better served by half an hour of Hard Core Porn and half an hour of UFC, at least that real, proper sex and violence rather than implied and insidious like the soap operas, utter death and despair in the name of entertainment.

No way are my kids watching that sh1t until they are 18 !!!!

Totally agree J4CKO, I wont let my kids watch it, and tell the wife off for having it on when they're about.
And what is it with the pub culture in soaps? When was the last time you went down your "local", and as you walked in, someone offered to buy you a pint, shag your missus, fix your car, decorate your house(finding valuable evidence that your a nazi war criminal in the process) and then punch your lights out :)
Corries ROVERS RETURN
Emmerdales WOOLPACK
Eastenders QUEEN VIC

even BROOKSIDE, before that went under, started centreing on the club in the arcade :(
What an utter load of nonsense these so called "real life" soaps are, at least with HOME & AWAY you can have a laugh. :)

chris.
