EBD on 03 STi - rear brake useage

How often and how much do the rear brakes on the STi with EBD work?
Ever since I did a 120 mile trip on the salt laden motorway last week, the rear discs have had some surface rust on them that doesn't seem to want to go away! Does the EBD system bias more than normal braking effort to the front in normal driving conditions? The rears appear to be doing very little work at all!

John,
You done 120 miles in 1 trip, I assume you stopped to clean it every 10 miles!

As for your question in the other thread, I am on my second set of Pagid 4-2-1's and find them ok. Speak to Alyn at AS Performance, he is very knowledgeable.

by the way............................How are you?

have come across quite a few cars that have either sticky calipers or the pads jamming in the caliper due to poor tolerance.................would suggest a strip and clean to sort..........

with EBD i would expect the rears to work more as the std car does not have enough rear effort under normal type use...............

Was this specifically with the Brembo items?

Tony
Hi - How are you? I've seen you a couple of times around Rush Green, once from the top of a 103 bus! See you soon at one of the meets? (now the better weather approaches?)

not particuarly................just across the range the common factor being still under warranty and in the "dealer" chain............

make your own conclusions to that.....................saves any libellous comments, allegedly!! LOL
