is it possible to have a kerbed alloy wheel repaired?

i curbed one of my alloys after only having the car 1 day :(

17" AMG one, wont be cheap to replace. 245/40/17 tyre sits on it which offers no protection to the alloy therefore i now have a 10 inch scrape (more of a real gouging) around the edge. looks awful, bit gutted. i'll be more careful now though.

is it possible/feasible to have this sort of cosmetic repair performed?

cheers

anyone know?

If it's just a scrape/chip in the rim, then yes it should be possible - I've had mine done in the past. If the wheel is bent/buckled, that's a bit more tricky, and you could be looking at a new wheel.
Check with your local wheel/tyre suppliers, they might be able to recommend someone.

Midget1500 - There is a guy on Lisburn Road in Saintfield repairs them. Guy I work with got a similar thing repaired last week. Looks good as new

try here. big thumbs up. they did all four 17" speedlines on my last scooby and smoked them gunmetal into the bargain. £250 for all four as i recall. looked great and skimmed off all the kerb damage. looked brand-new. 48 hour job.

just off the M1 between bedford & milton keynes.

just noticed you're in northern ireland. sorry. i'll get my coat.

I had a chunk missing out of one of my alloys, (after hitting a kerb)

I found a local metal fabrication/ welding company ....they filled it, and built it up etc

you'd never know now... cost me £45, and a tin of halfords near match gold.
