Coin values....
Don't ask me why, but whenever I've had an unusual 50p, £1 or £2 coin in my change I've kept it! From rugby world cup to NHS commemorations! I've amassed nearly £300 of these now, can anyone tell me if any of them are likely to be worth more than face value? Some of them are nearly mint condition.
Any advice appreciated! CC PS Also got a Queen Mum £5 in my change! |
Does the Queen know you've been rifling through her dead mothers effects? ;)

£300 worth?
Can you give us an idea of what you have? I've got 4 or 5 £2 coins, two of which are only one colour, like a large £1 coin. I've never seen any "rare" £1 coins, only the usual ones with UK, England, Scotland Wales obverses. Can't be bothered with the 50p's and the impreza 20p is quite common really. I must say I liked the old 25p (5 bob bit), but the royal mint soon got into money making and upped it to a £5 coin which I won't buy. I have all the 5 bob bits from 1951 onwards. Alcazar |
