and here please - ta !

scoobnoob05 23 February 2005 04:43 PM

nice one:thumb:

although AFAIK only colour cctv is admissable in court as evidence:rolleyes:

Jay

Neil Smalley 23 February 2005 05:03 PM

Then all those store and petrol station CCTV cameras aint any good. If that's the case then why do we see B&W stills taken from CCTV systems on the news/crimewatch etc?

StickyMicky 23 February 2005 05:10 PM

i belive for it to be admisible its supposed to have a timestamp

im busy building my system up for work
1 240v panasonic colour camera on the pole outside (cam needs fitted sumtime next week)

3 black and white infrared cameras keeping watch on the front and rear entrances and one covering the valet bays so nobody can scam me while im not actualy there ;)

mine will also be broadcasted over the net to my home pc which is nice for keeping an eye on things :D

pc is allready built up with the 4 channel DVR card, broadband has been installed at work, all i need is a couple of scart to BNC convertor leads and the colour cam put back up and im ready to rock :D

MJW 23 February 2005 07:35 PM

If you have broadband and a router, its easy to set up something like an Axis network camera so you can view the footage from any computer (they can act as a web server)

Jamo 23 February 2005 07:52 PM

the dvr card and software I have can be used over the net, not figured it out yet though

it also has a time stamp built in, along with date, and the camera which it was recorded with.

to say im happy with it is a big understatement, ive had a problem with kids (spealt chavs) hanging about near my car and recently piddling the scoobyclinic sticker off the back window

I caught them near it in the first week, I printed a copy off and took it to the respective parents house, and "asked" for them to stop it, or next time id be taking a copy to my solicitor, and sueing the arses of them :) they have since stopped, but ive caught a lad peering through the windows, I took the pictures and video on a dvd to the police, they couldnt do anything as the person didnt actually do anything  but they did recognise the scrote which is nice as it was past midnight on a dark night :D, and said that I should keep it on file in case anything happened in the future, which is fair I suppose.

jamo :)

G_Sleigh_STi 23 February 2005 07:56 PM

What you really want is this, you can even see the cameras from a palm top anywhere you go.

http://www.digital-cybermasters.co.uk/

In control products

Home systems up to 8 cameras

Check that system out, the full colour hardcore quality. ITS AWESOME

ghplumb 23 February 2005 08:10 PM

Could you send me the details aswell
As I want to upgrade my present system
Thanks

Jamo 23 February 2005 09:33 PM

for all of you that have asked (5) if 3 or more of you have a system of dave, he will knock £5 off each camera presuming you have more than 2 per set, and £10 off the dvr card and software.

hope that helps.

jamo :)

StickyMicky 23 February 2005 10:21 PM

ive just set mine up as a quick trial run in my bedroom

not sure if we have the same software (mine looks diffrent)

but i can have upto 16 camears on mine
any number of them i can set to "motion capture", and select which part of the view that the camera actualy sees, is valid for the motion detector senseing.
i can schedule them to run and specific times, or manuely set them by hand, i can (with i asume extra hardware) rig up the pc so i can move the camears about by pressing the buttons on screen, move left right/updown/zoom etc etc

just like the blokes on crimewatch do, all day long LOL

i havnet sussed out the internet thing yet as it all has to be transfered to work for that to actually work, but i also have a setting which, upon sum motion being detected, will start recording, take a snapshot and email me a snapshot picture of exactly whats going on via outlook :D

which i think is ****en amazing!!

Jamo 23 February 2005 10:57 PM

sounds the same to me sm :)

Dazza's-STi 24 February 2005 09:09 AM

The Dogs blox... need i say more!

http://www.rfconcepts.co.uk/colour_sony_ir.htm

and i use icatcher software with a 4 channel DVR card...

Mmmmmmm

forgot to add, the dvr card was £20 of ebay and icatcher is £50... very good software but doesn't monitor all 4 channels... you have to run it 4 times one for each cam... as a stand alone single cam solution thoough... faultless :D

sociopath 24 February 2005 10:00 AM

I like. Can you get miniguns to mount on the cameras so you can drill the thieving f*ckers full of holes. If so I'm buying!

if we could do that most of us on here would have them :D

those cameras look very similar to the ones I have daz, mine are a bit smaller I think?

jamo :)

Adam M 24 February 2005 11:11 AM

do the wireless cameras run on batteries or do they plug into the mains?

Jamou,

can you list the exact product that you have, I am getting a little confused.

I basically want three cameras, two outside, and one inside for the garage.

I already have a pc and a wirekless network, what do I need to buy?

what's all this about lenses being 4mm, 6mm etc?

StickyMicky 24 February 2005 03:32 PM

wireless ones i have looked at still needed a mains power supply.

my dvr car from hong kong via ebay and came with the software allready with it, i can monitor or record from all 16 if i want ( i think! )

New_scooby_04 24 February 2005 03:38 PM

Looks excellent mate, would you PM the details to me too.

All the best.
