talizman 23 February 2005 12:32 PM

talizman 23 February 2005 12:40 PM

And the buyer wants rid and can't shift it on.......

I did offer you before I got rid...... ;)

davedipster 23 February 2005 12:41 PM

Add £2k for PPP and it's £11.5k for DCCD, and there is a new car coming out soon with a possible 2.5l engine.

Pavlo 23 February 2005 12:46 PM

and everyone is forgetting 2 years of wear and and tear, 3 years of MOT free motoring, brand new tyres etc etc etc.

Probably not a deal I would do myself, but doesn't sound bad.

Never ever buy a brand new car unless you can afford to lose money, Impreza's are one of the worst depreciating cars that I have ever seen.
Once the 2.5 comes out, your 2005 model value will suffer as a consequence.

when does the 2.5 l come out? late this year?

Elmer Fudpucker 23 February 2005 01:01 PM

What makes you think the rumoured 2.5 will be any better?

Isn't that what the American market gets already and I don't see them 'raving' about it:confused:

I got offered the same kinda deal to your 9.5k to change to a MY05 Sti.... But I cannot really justify paying so much just for new wheels, interior slightly different (poss better) & DCCD...
Just think I will keep it for another year & wait for the face lift MY06 STi...

Elmer Fudpucker 23 February 2005 01:18 PM

forget the DCCD;)

We're talking first ever brand new car here!!and my 4th Impreza

Its making a 43 year old feel like a 12 year old on Christmas day;)

Well for a start the US Impreza power is strangled by very strict emmision laws so you cannot really compare any reviews of the US 2.5 compared to the T25.

I think the main advantage of a 2.5 engine is torque, everything else around the car will remain the same, having said that all this is hearsay at the moment as know one knows if it is even being released in the UK yet.

If I were you I would sell your car privately and buy a Euro MY05 STi for another couple of grand instead of the £9.5k that you are thinking of spending.
Think about, NINE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED POUNDS is a hell of a lot of money to spend just to have DCCD and bbs alloys.
But it's your money at the end of the day, do what ever makes you happy..

Elmer Fudpucker 23 February 2005 01:36 PM

Thanks for your input chaps:D

You should do whatever you want to do. Why justify it to sn? I think you have made up your mind with both the purchase of the car and colour. Whatever you choose, it'll be nice.
