05 and you've had a bang already:(

Turbotits 22 February 2005 09:06 PM

You would have a version 9.My works laptop at the moment is only going up to v8 as waiting for update. It does show no fuel cut switches on any impreza up to v8. That doesnt mean thay havent fitted one to v9 though. Its odd it should tick over as the fuelcut should stop the engine totally as thats what its designed to do in an accident.

What happens if you rev it from the throttle body rather than at the pedal

i have not tried using the throttle body,
the car wont start, and i dont want to flood the engine.
or do you mean pull the throttle body and then try starting it?

(i take it you work for subaru?)

Also check its got plenty of fuel in it. If its really low it maybe the pump cant create enough pressure.Make sure theres at least 2 or 3 gallons in it.

No i dont work for subaru.

donutman 22 February 2005 09:22 PM

did you get a good deal?

Turbotits 22 February 2005 09:23 PM

Uk 98ron (optimax) Plus octane booster to be safe will be ok till you get it mapped

its me whos selling it on ebay, but after seeing the car i have decided that i might just keep it.
The damage is not as bad as it looks, and i can get most of the parts from salvage and members of scoobynet.

plus i already got most of the body pannels i need,so its just the machanical parts i need to get hold off.got a decent quote from subaru plus discount.

my mate will be doing the body work for free hopefully as he ows me,but i want the machanical bits doing by pro's.so thats the only area i will pay good money to get it fixed.
