idle speed
 
whats the idle speed supposed to be on a my98 turbo wagon ?

mine sits about 600-650 rpm is this ok ??

It's easy to misread the idle revs as I think the rev counter only starts @ 500 rpm.

Mine idles @ 800 when warmed up, two rev counter dial gradations below the 1000 mark.

Important thing is that it's steady when warm - if it hunts all over the place your MAF might be on the way out.

Hi guys could you please explain what is (MAF) my idle is all over the place i've just reconnected my boost guage thought everything was ok then this please help.

its the sensor that is between the airbox and the inlet

as for the idle speed i was looking at it wrong, its usually 800 rpm :rolleyes:

mine idles @ 450 rpm.... is that too low? BRD remap done.

are you sure its that low ??
i was reading mine wrong, as stated it only starts at 500rpm
