It makes me so angry when I read about things like this. :(

I hope the car turns up soon without too much damage.

Daft Lad 16 February 2005 01:07 AM

Andy,

Bad luck mate :( Really hope you get her back! :(

Irritating thieves who have nothing in life and take others. Good luck in the retrieval of the vehicle!!

Really bad luck m8. I live just outside Heywood myself and regularly go into Bury and Rochdale. I'll keep my eyes peeled for it - there can't be many Cossies like that knocking about.

Chin up...

The owner has found the car thank god. Found it parked up with disklock on for some reason.

Owner has phoned police but they will not attend to finger print as there too busy.

Glad it is found and the owner has it back.

Good to hear the car has turned up :) Not too much damage hopfully !!

As for the Coppers, probably to busy sat in thier patrol cars at the side of the road catching people doing 44mph in a 40 zone than dealing with real crime !!

Glad u got her back, as the other have said - hope there is no damage

Know the feeling, as regulars know I lost my Scoob a month ago to dirty chav skum, and I reckon the only reason she got found so quick was due to being used as a getaway car for a robbery.

Strange about the disclock, if its good enough for thieving scum then its good enough for us law abiding citizens

That's just pi55 poor IMO

Had the same treatment when some scrotes tried to nick my old car...but failed (foiled by a £25 alarm immobilser and ALi-B's patented wiring techniques :D ). The fact that there was £800 of damage to the doors, steering column and wiring didn't seem to bother them

Thing is I don't care if they don't catch the theives for this offence...Usually these theives are either known to the plod...or they will be in the not too distant future. A fingerprint on file is another case that could be solved in the future when some yob gets arrested for a matter as trivial as a public order offence.

True about the dislock, i work on building sites, and after a few conversations. The one thing they all agree on is that the disclock is too much hassle. And for 70 quid what a bargain. The chav lads on site all know a few car thieves and they all say the thieves have one on theirs, so i got one myself. Really glad you got the car back m8. I myself would have waited for the c***t to come back for the car, and hammered the p***K.

And if you had the police would be round your hose quick as a flash to nick you for assult when the little c**t would have deserved it !!

Mr.Manchester 16 February 2005 10:24 PM

**UPDATE**

The car has been recovered by its owner :) and is now tucked away in secure a lockup while the damage is being repaired.

who needs the police eh

Darren-S 17 February 2005 08:55 AM

Result! :)

Interesting to hear of the disk-lock hassles. I may consider getting one for my 182.

I've also heard that before, Ali-B, about cheap immobilisers often being the most difficult to get around. High-end systems are easy to bypass, but the cheap & cheerful things from the like of Halfords are harder to crack.

Anyways, just glad to hear that the Cossie is back - and likewise, I hope the damage isn't too bad?

D.
