Servicing in/near Southampton

I pick up my 1994 Scooby on Thurs... it's going to be a long few days!!!

I got a good deal, but I need to get the car serviced including cambelt as soon as I get it as I have no documentation for the last 25k miles...

1) Where can I go in/near Southampton for a trustworthy, reasonably priced service? I need someone who knows these cars ideally.

2) How much should I pay for this service?

3) Does anyone know a good body shop in the same area as I need to get a few little bits sorted out.

Thanks guys

A few people have mentioned William Street Services near St Marys stadium. I've not taken my car down there yet but when I have my 306 they did the head gasket on it and were brilliant.

I've got a 1994 WRX too. When you get the cambelt done can you let me know where you went and the cost? Thinking of getting it done soon.........after the clutch!!

subaru4u look perfect! I want experts working on my car.

Tempted by the quick shift kit and I haven't even picked it up yet. One thing I noticed coming from my MX5 is that the gear shift is kind of loose and vague.

BEN - I'll post back on this thread with the outcome!

Triton in Bournemouth are extremely competent - they run a rally outfit. Not always the cheapest though.

Register yourself on www.hampshiresubaru.co.uk and you'll find more useful info. Apparently there is a good garage at Shamrock Quay that are highly recommended for working on scoobies and evo's, etc.

Also you'll see details of our local monthly meets - next one on Tuesday night at White Swan, Mannsbridge.

Cheers

Terry
