OK then, here's mine (Japanese import) :D
Optional features are the stereo, Knocklink and side strips, the rest is standard (at least for Japan): Standard Bridgestone 235/45/17 RE070 tyres http://www.cawte.nildram.co.uk/STI/2D2E9036.jpg Factory de-tangoed headlights with silver bulbs http://www.cawte.nildram.co.uk/STI/2D2E9037.jpg Wheelarch extensions are actually a plastic moulding, not (necessarily) a change to the sheet metal http://www.cawte.nildram.co.uk/STI/2D2E9041.jpg Rear-side view http://www.cawte.nildram.co.uk/STI/2D2E9042.jpg Optional anti-careless-moron side protection strips http://www.cawte.nildram.co.uk/STI/2D2E9044.jpg Front-side view http://www.cawte.nildram.co.uk/STI/2D2E9045.jpg Rear view http://www.cawte.nildram.co.uk/STI/2D2E9047.jpg New for '05 black/pink STI badge and very discreet fog light conversion (in the same part of the cluster as the normal rear light) http://www.cawte.nildram.co.uk/STI/2D2E9048.jpg STI-badged 10 spoke wheels http://www.cawte.nildram.co.uk/STI/2D2E9051.jpg Interior http://www.cawte.nildram.co.uk/STI/2D2E9052.jpg Illuminated red dials with variable brightness http://www.cawte.nildram.co.uk/STI/2D2E9055.jpg New centre console with Knocklink and stereo http://www.cawte.nildram.co.uk/STI/2D2E9060.jpg I/C water spray controls and fog lamp switch http://www.cawte.nildram.co.uk/STI/2D2E9062.jpg Armrest now has electric mirror adjusters and fold/unfold button http://www.cawte.nildram.co.uk/STI/2D2E9063.jpg Interior again with new steering wheel http://www.cawte.nildram.co.uk/STI/2D2E9065.jpg Rear wash/wipe http://www.cawte.nildram.co.uk/STI/2D2E9067.jpg DCCD-A controls down by the handbrake http://www.cawte.nildram.co.uk/STI/2D2E9075.jpg DCCD indicator http://www.cawte.nildram.co.uk/STI/2D2E9078.jpg |

Andy, I cant thank you enough. Those pics are outstanding and exactly what I was after. Looked at them over last couple of weekends, finally got a test drive this Saturday of an 05 sti. How do you find it? Those tyres look like they mean business. Daz
PS Impressively tidy garage mate. |

Andy, if you have any way of telling without stripping bits out -what are the dipped beams in your lights? Are they D2S HID bulbs? If they are then I'm part way there... ;)

Standard Bridgestone 235/45/17 RE070 tyres are these any good ?
Took an 04 sti out in the damp on mini roundabouts and the slid everwhere ! Probably my fault ...wrong diff ! but anyone had any problems with these ? |
How do you find it? The RE070 tyres have excellent grip in the dry, but in the wet the car does become more nervous and fidgety, no doubt as a result of the widely spaced grooves and fat tread blocks. That's one reason I've had the suspension changed, to see if it becomes more stable and confidence-inspiring. I'm sure they'll be great in the summer and for track days, but I personally prefer a tyre with more consistent performance even at the expense of ultimate dry grip. I'll be changing them for something more conventional when they're worn out. The rear wiper is still Japan-only, just as it's always been! UK cars don't have this, or the electric folding mirrors, HID lights, twin-scroll turbo, wider tyres, red dials, automatic I/C water spray or clear front indicators. |
Cheers Andy
Great pictures by the way :) |
