05 STI PICS ANYONE GOT ANY?

Thinking of buying one, would like to see some descent pics of standard cars. Ta

OK then, here's mine (Japanese import) :D

Optional features are the stereo, Knocklink and side strips, the rest is standard (at least for Japan):

Andy, I cant thank you enough. Those pics are outstanding and exactly what I was after. Looked at them over last couple of weekends, finally got a test drive this Saturday of an 05 sti. How do you find it? Those tyres look like they mean business. Daz

PS Impressively tidy garage mate.

Andy, if you have any way of telling without stripping bits out -what are the dipped beams in your lights? Are they D2S HID bulbs? If they are then I'm part way there... ;)

Standard Bridgestone 235/45/17 RE070 tyres are these any good ?

Took an 04 sti out in the damp on mini roundabouts and the slid everwhere !
Probably my fault ...wrong diff ! but anyone had any problems with these ?

AndyC_772 10 February 2005 09:15 PM

How do you find it?
You should join the SIDC, there will be a comprehensive write-up in the next issue of the magazine :D

The RE070 tyres have excellent grip in the dry, but in the wet the car does become more nervous and fidgety, no doubt as a result of the widely spaced grooves and fat tread blocks. That's one reason I've had the suspension changed, to see if it becomes more stable and confidence-inspiring. I'm sure they'll be great in the summer and for track days, but I personally prefer a tyre with more consistent performance even at the expense of ultimate dry grip. I'll be changing them for something more conventional when they're worn out.

The rear wiper is still Japan-only, just as it's always been! UK cars don't have this, or the electric folding mirrors, HID lights, twin-scroll turbo, wider tyres, red dials, automatic I/C water spray or clear front indicators.

Cheers Andy

Great pictures by the way :)

Andy

I have no idea, sorry. They're definitely HID bulbs, but I've no clue which ones.
