As a quickie before I run home...

The weekly server status report will show you internal and external mail traffic for a user.

Go into Server Management (top of the Start Menu).

Then Monitoring & Reporting on the left hand tree and choose the Useage Report.

It does seperate messages sent / recieved for internal and external.

HTH,

Chris.

HTH,

That looks perfect(after it had to be switched on), however how come I get this

No usage data is available for this time period. It can take up to 24 hours to collect and display usage data after running the Monitoring Configuration Wizard.

To ensure that usage reports are enabled, click Set Up Monitoring Reports and Alerts. Then, on the Reporting Options page of the Monitoring Configuration Wizard, select View the usage report in Server Management
Why does it need up to 24 hours to collect information?
I switched the logging on this morning about 11am.

Thanks Again,

Shaun

OK then, here's hoping that tomorrow morning the dopey thing has started logging usage information.

Must be down to how it gathers the stats via PerfMon or some other counter / log.

OK, one last thing.

The server usage report is exactly what I was after, but the notes seems to suggest that it shows internet access/usage also.
My extended usage report only shows email sent & received, outlook web access by user and outlook web access usage per hour.

Thanks,

Shaun
