How much octane booster per tank?

Hi all

Just a quick question due to the lack of experience, I have brought a bottle of Wynns octane booster and wonder how much to put in per tank..I've never used any boosters before my Suzuki Hayabusa didnt need it, pulled like a steam train all the way to 200mph in a few seconds anyhow...

The bottle says:

Add entire contents to the fuel tank.
Treats up to 70 litres of fuel
Maximum dosage: use contents with 30 litres of fuel.

?????Does this mean it lasts two tank fuels, or measure out each 30 litres????

Hope someone can help..

Many Thanks

Marco

I use the Wynnes octane booster and add the whole bottle.
I think it says something like Do not add more than x amount to x litres of petrol or damage to the CAT may occur.

Well, the bottle should say how much it will raise the octane rating. They usualy are designed for cars (with 50-60 litre tanks) so you should get the same raise in octane by using half the bottle in each tank. Going for a higher concentration will give you even more octane rating but will not make your catalyst happy. Mind you, don't expect a power increase. Octane rating only tells you how sensitive the fuel is to detonation. Puting octane booster in the fuel alone will not make any difference to the power output unless you were previously close to detonation and the ECU was delaying ignition because of the knocksensor detecting pinking.

How did you tune the 'Busa?

Why does your

The bottles says it'll increase rating by 2 RON, i wasnt really interested in any power increase, just been told it helps to keep valves and injectors clean.

The busa was almost standard, set of akrapovic cans, TRE module (2003 needed to de-restrict it), double bubble screen to tuck behind, squeeze down out of the wind and wack open the throttle (hope nothing gets in the way, private road of course).

Thanks

Marco
