No mate, i'm affraid not there to wide. There rub when you make a turn.

On the classic with 17" rims you have three sizes to choose from.

205/45/17

215/40/17

215/45/17


The first two are as near as dame it the same rolling radius as 50 profile on a 16" rim.

The latter 215/45 is offen choosen by many instead of the 40 profile for several reasons
1/ Ride comfort
2/ Fills the wheel arch better

However there is a small price to pay there a 2% error on the speedo reading.
I think if you never new the error existed you'd be none the wiser to honest.

thanks, i run 215/45's a the minute anyway, wanted to get some bridgestone re070 on there but dont think they do um in that size, just have to stick to the re050's!!
