Car smells of petrol after PPP
As above, my sti had the ppp fitted yesterday and the car has a smell of petrol(not strong). Now I understand quite a bit of petrol was spilt when fitting the pump and will be sitting in the underseal. I've been told if the smell doesn't go bring the car in.
How long before the smell should go if there isn't a leak?? |
the trouble is that the pump is changed from inside the car, so thats probably why it smells, ideally you need to have the windows open for a decent period.......

Very faint inside. |
best thing would be to pop the metal plate that covers it all start the car and look for any leaks. the plate is inside the boot under the carpet and it's the one on the drivers side held down by 4 small phillips screws
