Fitting a dump valve

How easy is it to fit a dump valve yourself?

wot model ?

on my00 onwards its a 5 minute job
bolts straight onto the intercooler.

Yep - easy job on my MY00. Forge VTA DV;

Undo jubilee clip on big black hose, and fit the bung in the end of it that comes with the new DV, tighten jubille clip back up. You might need to use a hairdryer to soften the pipe as they can be quite stiff and its a tight fit anyway.

follow the smaller black pipe from the DV and remove the end of it from the metal pipe (near distributor).

Unbolt OE DV, and replace with new one.

fit new pipe to DV and to where you just removed the old one from.

:D nice one, top one, sorted - phhhhhhhhhttttttttttt!

car is an my97 is it any different for this?

Still easy, 2 pipes plus a blanking plug ( unless a recirculating unit) although i'd recommend staying with the original as theres nothing wrong with it. If you fit a VTA (vent to air) you may encounter worse fuel economy and rather 'jerky' running.
