What's more worrying is the fact you don't have it anymore.

How can they catch car theives when they can't even keep track or upto date with current owners!

Did it go along the lines of-

Dear Mr Scoobslayer,

It has come to our attention that a minor but significant amount of high performance (really?) impreza's have been stolen. You have come to our attention having significant contact with all said owners, a derogetory t'internet user name and have amazingly traded up to a car costing a similar amount to the total value of said imprezzzzzas.

Could you please ring us on our answerphone to tell us if you did it?

Love,

Plod.

Ps Wonder if they sent one to whoever it is in t'village who 'displays' their Scoob every Sunday? Very strange behaviour:cuckoo:

I'm due to get one...I read in the local paper they are issuing these letters out to owners of targeted cars - scoobs included.

Would much prefer the resources going to catching and sending the cvnts down for good rather than telling us what to do when they kick down the front door with a sawn off shotgun.

I got one from West Midlands Police three or four years ago, but haven't heard anything since.....

Yep, I had one from my local police. It was hand delivered (probally by a copper) and contained fliers from different car alarm/tracking companies with the letter. (A pic of my model scoob on the front of one of them) Glad my money's being spent well. It also also gave me advice on what to do with my keys at night.... "take them to bed". This letter was delivered to EVERYONE locally. My GF and I now sleep soundly knowing that any fooker that break's in and can't find the keys down stairs, will be straight up to have a pop at us whilst sleeping. Great.

As you know, if I was to wake and have a go back at someone, I'd be in more trouble than them.

Easy way of upping the crime clear up rate IMO. Tell the thieves where to go, tell the owner they are gonna get robbed. Owner sleeps one eye open waiting, Crime happens in a house and results in no property being removed but 1 half dead thief in the hall way. Lovely, nick the owner...

Totally untrue; unless of course you were to take a meat-cleaver to them, or shoot them.
HTH, not HtH. :)
