Anyone with MS Works 7 do me a favour?

Minor problem here - g/f has a presentation to give early next week which has to be MS Powerpoint format. I'm the only one with Powerpoint on the laptop, so she's brought shed loads of information down to me, unfortunately in MS Works 7 format. Of course the converter for Word 2003 doesnt exist

Anyone with MS Works able to convert 4 or 5 Works 7.0 documents to any Word format for me? It'll save her a 6-hour round trip tomorrow to save the file in a different format at home, and come back!!

Many Many thanks

SB
Mods - I'd be grateful if you could leave this here for a few hours...I've posted a similar plea in Computer RElated

Is Works 7 the same as Works 2000?

hedgehog 29 January 2005 08:57 PM

Have you looked the MS site to see if there is a convertor there? They often have little utils to convert from one file type to another, though getting the right combination of search terms to hit on the correct file can be a challenge.

Tried that...there is a converter, and a viewer, but the converter doesnt seem to work with Word 2003, and I cant getthe viewer to work (on 3 separate machines)

Cheers anyway

Have you tried downloading OpenOffice? It's free and it can read and write all sorts of MS formats. www.openoffice.org

Cheers guys.
Panic over, and all sorted now.
All we've got to do is write the Powerpoint presentation, with far too much information for the 10 minutes we've got
Scoobynet works again
Many,many thanks
