Get the WRSport item. Sounds good, not too loud. Doesn't make you look like a prick with one of those dopey rear silencers.
Plus you'll get to keep your warranty aswell.

TSL Group N box, deep burble, and not intrusive inside the car while cruising :thumb:

The WR Sport gets my vote, sounds nice!

Have fun searching though, zillions to choose from.

I have an Afterburner Vortex on mine. It absolutely stunning. Absolutely roars after 4000 but a lovely low burble lower down the range. Also build quality is spot on.

Can anyone advise if the standard sti back box will sound any louder than a wrx standard b/box on wrx 03 and will i notice any power difference?

swapped my first set of pea shooters for an sti box at first, no power gain, but a very very slightly deeper burble, not a lot though

Afterburner vortex - whilst a good exhaust - does not fit in the "not that loud category" IMHO. STi backbox is not really worth the effort of changing - looks better and that's about it.

Numerous quiet(ish) higher flowing boxes exist, MRT do about the quietest, but also Prodrive (inc WRsport), Remus, and APS are fairly quiet, things like the group N, scoobysport quiet are a little louder but not very intrusive. But don't expect truly "quiet" from any exhaust - my car with the full APS system measured very similar to Prodrive WRSport with centre decat. Much quieter than most scooby exhausts, but still what non-enthusiasts consider noisy.
