1.5x current creme egg size would just put it back to 1985 size , surely...

They don't make 'em like they used to! ;)

OllyK 21 January 2005 11:00 AM

'tis done!!

Been going for almost 12 months now - wonder when (if they haven't already) they plan to send it in.

BOB.T 21 January 2005 11:06 AM

I think it's need to be bigger, big enough to require a spoon!

Neil Smalley 21 January 2005 01:25 PM

And have Chocolate soliders to go with it?

Jamo 21 January 2005 03:11 PM

yummy :D

Jap2Scrap 21 January 2005 04:04 PM

Chocolate soldiers sounds like a euphemism to me :Suspiciou

messiah 21 January 2005 04:52 PM

I once had a "mutant" creme egg - it was one solid lump of chocolate. Very nice but it didn't half make my jaw ache...

Got a panic on, thought it was somekind of competiton - "Find the Solid Egg" so ended up walking back to the shop to find the wrapper I'd thrown away...

Scoobychick 21 January 2005 04:54 PM

Lmao @ mutant creme egg :lol1:

LOL! I had a mutant KitKat once. One of the fingers was 50% pure chocolate and the other one was completely chocolate, so the biscuit must have run out just at the precise moment my KitKat was being made.

One of those humbling, life defining moments! ;)

antera309 21 January 2005 06:16 PM

I still remember my disappointment as a child when I found out that the Creme Egg easter egg was hollow inside rather than being full of creme.

It looks like I'm not alone!!

HankScorpio 21 January 2005 07:04 PM

antera, I too was gutted.... :(

It should be large enough to eat the internals with a spoon and then when you're done, you should be able to stick your head in and lick round the inside. :)

Fuzz 21 January 2005 07:21 PM

aha I remember those "gold bars" you used to get..
Sort of a yellowy white type chocolate over a biscuit.
I found one once, totally chocolate....

A few weeks later I noticed there was the competition on to find a "gold bar" ie. one with just pure chocolate.
I forget what the prize was. :(

That must be quite common as I've had that happen a couple of times in my almost 32 years!

It looks like I'm not alone!!

But you could always buy hundreds of the normal ones and scoop out the cream and inject it into the large hollow egg.

How sick would you be after eating it though.

How much of a sugar rush would you have and how long would it last :D

Bubba po 22 January 2005 07:00 PM

We had some mutant After Eights when Me Mam used to w**k at Rowntree Mackintosh's- from the staff mis-shapes shop. They were about four times the thickness of normal After Eights... both the chocolate and the fondant. :D

God, a standard one makes me gag, horrible things.
