i saw somwhere that the type r had a R180, did the subframe need to change to use the 180 diff?

currently im looking to get a new transmission on my US car and im just trying to collect info as far as chassis stiffening bars, weight, diffs etc for my car

Type R's do have a R180 rear diff, don't changes to the subframe but rear disc's are 290mm with 190mm drum brake as opposed to 290mm/170mm drum used on UK 2 pot rears
