Best way to get more power ?

I currently have a my98 uk scoob i am happy with it but because i have had a couple of imports before this doesnt seem to have the same power, ok one of them did have a STi engine in so i can understand that so what i want to know is what is the best way to get more power, would a remap make much difference? it already has a full decat system and a induction kit so i was just lookin for some suggestions.

Thanks

Dai

p.s. What does a knock sensor do ?

bigger turbo and a remap i would imagine?

A knock sensor detects engine knock and tells you when your about to blow your engine into a million little pieces.

This maybe of some use...if your looking into monitoring knock..

I'm sure someone will come along in a few minutes to say I'm wrong, but IIRC, on a '98 car, your options are LINK, (expensive) or Motec, (VERY expensive) remaps.

Alcazar, (got LINK and happy with it.)

how much difference would a remap make? i read somewhere it takes them up to 290bhp is that right? and whats link? also whats the cost?

you missed a couple , Apexi power fc or GEMS

you will have to add a bit more to your car before the reamp if you want to achieve that figure
