Shipping to Southern Ireland on contract
 

Hi Guys,

I work for a mail order CO, and up until last week we used to use RedHead to deliver to Southern Ireland.

Redhead now do not insure (or guarentee) the goods - for breakages or loss - even if their fault "we are not an insurance broker sir" - so I need to find another courrier.

We are currently using Dynamic & DHL for that area - but they are 1/3 more expensive than RedHead used to be.

Any suggestions?

Depends how big the stuff is. If you only want parcels then I can't help much. For larger stuff P&O have (or had anyway) a large share of the market, but you can try Nolans Transport, Aqua Trans (for Limerick area) or Freight Force (Cork area).

Have you tried Interlink?? My mate owns the franchise for the north and they are generally competitive

They are usually under 1m in lenght and can go upto 30 kilos.

Occasionally we have to send big mats which are 2m in length.

We are based in High Wycombe (South East)

Mmm, not soundling too much like you need a groupage service with those weights, mind you it could probably stack on the top.

BTW RedHead or whatever should be carrying to RHA or more likely CMR (or the parcel carrier equivalent) conditions unless they want to get their asses sued. It may be however that the standard insurance is not enough, as with CMR and RHA it goes on weight.
