In Car GPS tech Q (TMC facility)

I really quite fance the above dedicated unit which comes with all european maps too at a great price of £350. I also pref its looks to Tom Tom and other competitors.

Only question I have is that it doesnt have TMC which I believe to be a facility for receiving dynamic re-routing signals in order to avoid fresh crashes/roadblocks. Very VERY useful I would have thought!!!

Doers any small cheap GPS solution have this TMC, or can I stop looking and place an order? :)

I have Co-Pilot which I find very good. It has some sort of rerouting and accident avoidance system either as part of it now or planned. I haven't looked into it as I have no huge need for it, but might be worth a look.

You can get the Navigon software for a PDA which is essentially the same as the software the dedicated Medion device above uses. The do however do a TMC add on for it. See this article, describes the software / hardware in detail: http://www.pocketgps.co.uk/navigon-m...avigator-4.php

Thx Graz - very useful mate. Too many cables as a TMC/PDA solution for me at the mo (esp with Road Angel already on the dash!) - I'd be better off sourcing a used OE in-dash system with TMC if I want it that bad...

Garmin Quest ordered instead (£324inc) as the guy on the phone put me off the Medion's realiability...
