Ray,
I've been a surfer for some 30 odd years now, as for wave names, the only types that spring to mind are "beach break", "barrel", as far as I'm aware they don't really have names, the following site http://www.a1surf.com/ has loads of good info on the types of waves you get at different spots, it may be of some use to you.

Waves don't have names as such just names for different types of break.

Don't call it Tsunami, bad marketing move if your planning on selling it at the mo!

What does it do?

Ray_li 18 January 2005 03:07 PM

RichWalk 18 January 2005 03:29 PM

Jaws is about the most famous named wave.

Big ones, small ones, ones that pound you into next week, ones that submerge you for far longer than you had in mind...... etc.....:D

I don't surf, just windsurf, and I think the waves required are slightly different, so I'm told.... No that that's much help:D

what would scooby do 18 January 2005 10:03 PM

You can call it the Mexican ;)
