Solicitor needed Wakefield area.

Need the name/no. of a good solicitor to help me with a possible speeding conviction due to go to court 26-1-05. Case has been adjourned once ,as I moved house and I was hoping they'd forgotten or lost the paperwork. Hmmm. Plan B....

They think I was doing 104 on my zx9r on the M1 (very empty) at 07.00 in the (Sunday) morning. As if!!!!!

I wouldn't bother wasting your money on a solicitor.

At 104 you're looking at a ban. A solicitor isn't going to help jack, believe me i spent nearly £900 on one and i wished i had saved the money (103 mph on M180).

There are no mitigating circumstances for speading, but a letter from your employer saying you will loose your job if you loose your license might help in getting a ban reduced to say 28 days or even six points and a large fine.

Write a letter to the court saying how sorry you are and that it was a one off incident blah blah, and suggest to them you are prepared to do a 'driver awareness programme' and also plead to have 6 points and maximum fine rather than loss of license.

I agree with Mr M, (any relation to Mr.T ??)

my mate Dave, name not changed to protect the dumb!!

He had 12 points, alternate convictions hence no ban, i took him to court, he pleaded "job, sack, poverty" which was true, he got three more points, 15 in total, and a 28 day/1 month ban, then back onthe road with 15 points.

You may ask how did he ride with 15 but i have another mate with the same, 12's a ban, go figure.................
