renault immobiliser bypassing
 
the good old comon renault imob problems, i believe extremely common, have a 1995 espace thats turns fires dies instantly, normally when they do that ya press the keyfob to lock and unlock the doors and the car runs


but this fooker doesnt


i presume its a cut off to the fuel pump? anyone know how to disable / bypass?

We used to supply the Goldshield and Silvershield Renault alarm upgrades to these vehicles too. The Goldshield was a Category 2 to 1 upgrade, so the standard immobiliser is Thatcham Category 2 approved and software locked on the engine ECU - as such it will not be easy to by-pass.
From what I remember the only problem Renault had was with the transmitters themselves on early pre '98 vehicles, but from what you say, if your vehicle is unlocking from the Remote it probably isn't the transmitter at fault, but more likely the ECU.
Unless you can find a tame Renault technician, then I think it may have to be a dealer visit, as I doubt there is an easy by-pass of the ECU.
