Prodrive 10 spokes - standard wheel nuts?

I have Prodrive 10 spoke (WRC/P1) alloys on my 01 WRX using the standard wheel nuts. Looking at them today it seems the nuts go a heck of a long way down on the seat taper to the point where the sharp edges of the nut (hard to explain this!!) make contact with the seat. It seems there is no more than about 4mm of the nut making contact with the wheel.
I have done a search on this and what I haver read the OE nut is the right one to use, but it looks really odd to me. Has anyone with these wheels used a different nut to the OEM or had any problems using the OE nuts??

Not on a newage, but I have them fitted to my classic MY99 RB5. According to the documents that came with the wheel, you do use the OE wheel nuts.

Speedline wheenuts have a different taper to std ones. They also are threaded right to the end of the taper, making it much more secure.

Much better to order up some Speedline ones. Your dealer should have a part number.

Prodrive P1 Alloys are OZ. Used the standard wheel nuts on my classic.

When I got my 18" 10 spokes I experienced the same issue with the wheel nut and the corners etc. In the box with the wheels was a drawing of the correct nut to use and a part No 623006021, when I measured the standard nut against the drawing they matched - so I used the standard nuts and have had no problems.
