MY01 WRX - Chance to own a Moderator's car!

Well, the time has come to sell my car. Have to say I've really enjoyed it. Without a doubt, the most reliable car I've owned. Here are a few pics (one of the better looking 'bugeyes' I think (perhaps because it is not a bugeye - if you see what I mean :) ). General condition of the car is very good. Some scratches on the paint work, but this is almost inevitable. It has been my daily commute car, so a lot of the miles have been done on motorways. Always properly warmed up and warmed down. It has had plenty of TLC in the 3 or so years that I have owned the car.

Full spec:

2001 Impreza WRX - UK car supplied by Cheam Motors
Blue/black mica paint
77K miles (I've owned it since it had 800 miles on the clock!)
Full service history with Subaru main dealers until about 50K, then all other services done by Xtreme Scoobies. Cambelt was changed at about 50K.
Clutch was replaced at about 50K miles too. Air conditioning has just been fully regassed and is working perfectly. MOT until Aug 2005.

Interior

Bucket seats
Subaru carbon fibre-effect trim
Prodrive quickshift
Nitosport gear knob
WRX mats

Stereo

Single-DIN conversion with Alpine CD/Tuner headunit
Infinity component speakers
Amplifier and sub in the boot

Exterior

Prodrive OZ 18" alloys (anthracite)
Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres
Eibach lowered springs (geometry / alignment / fitting by Powerstation)
Rallytech spoiler with carbon-effect top (fitted / painted by Cheam Motors)
Colour-coded front-side indicators
Colour-coded Morette headlamp conversion with Scoobysport HID on dip beam
'Sports' mudflaps (look in the Subaru catalogue!)

Engine

Basically non-modified apart from:
STI air filter
Scoobysport (Hayward & Scott) Exhaust system (downpipe, both centre sections and back box), Lovely sound without being too loud.

Other bits

Forge dump valve (not fitted at the moment)
Original low spoiler
Original Subaru catted downpipe
Private number plate 'Y2 SRT' - good for the rally fans! (cost £400)
PDA-based sat nav system (Tom Tom 3 maps and GPS receiver) + associated software, cradle etc.
Scoobynet sticker on the back window (big selling point :) )
Blue Subaru front grill badge :) (thanks Sal)
Tracker fitted (subscription until approx Oct 2005)

I'm not going to split it up, the whole thing comes as a package: SOLD!

If you're new to Subaru's - PLEASE check your insurance before hand. If you want some advice on what to declare - drop me a PM.

Think that is it.

Paulo P 14 January 2005 04:32 PM

Scoobychick 14 January 2005 05:33 PM

Mark - I'll come and rev the new motor up outside your house :)

Jasemac: The spoiler is Rallytech - I believe David Reid Motorsport and TSL both supply them - or goto Rallytech direct. Or buy my car! :)

Nice car - I can personally vouch that it sounds, rides and handles beautifully. :D

Chris L 20 January 2005 03:46 PM

Thanks Tony - Might need to use your car in Wales for the Rally. Not sure if an RX-8 fits in so well on the stages :)

Thanks Matt - same to you!

Chris L 27 January 2005 03:14 PM

BTTT again. Had some interest in the car, but it is still available. Looks like it will have had its next service by the end of next week too - so it's even better value :) Always open to reasonable negotiations on price. Car goes into Auto Trader and Top Marques next week, but I would much prefer it to go to a SN member though :)

TonyBurns 28 January 2005 08:42 PM

Chris,

Whats next on the list?
Another scoob or something different?
